Karen Naim

English Alumna, University of Dayton

Karen Naim is a recent graduate of the University of Dayton where she studied English and International Studies.
She chose to major in English because of her interest in rhetoric and composition and the relationship between
language and culture. Karen enjoyed her time at UD and the wide array of classes she took. Among her favorites
were Rhetorical Theory, Literature and Human Rights, and Visual Rhetoric. She also had many valuable
experiences including working at the on-campus writing center and internships with the Dayton Literary Peace Prize, the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, and the Cuyahoga County Department of Communications. Since graduating in 2018, Karen served in the US Peace Corps and is now living and working in Cleveland, OH.
